About Me

Hola! I’m Jessica
World Traveler and Spain Enthusiast
Hello and welcome to my new (and first ever!) blog and website! After being downsized from my corporate job of nearly 15 years, I decided I would use my newfound free time to put my efforts into something I am passionate about. Spain and travel are my favorite subjects to talk about and dream about. I’m fluent in Spanish and I consider myself a lifelong student of the beautiful language.
I spent a total of 6 years living in Spain during two different stages of my life. My first stint living in Spain was as a military spouse and it took me to the Cádiz province of Spain, specifically the towns of El Puerto de Santa Maria and Rota. During this time, I traveled heavily throughout Andalucía (a large southern region of Spain) and this is where my love affair with Spain began. Then for several years I had to settle for only vacations in Spain, while dreaming about living there full time again someday.
In September of 2021 my dream came true and my husband and I moved to the city of Málaga, still part of the autonomous region of Andalucía that I knew and loved. We spent three wonderful years getting to know even more of the south of Spain, while also exploring other parts of the amazingly beautiful country.
We then returned to live in the USA for a year and due to many factors (which you can read about in my blog), we decided to return to Spain AGAIN, this time buying a home in Rute, the southern part of the province of Córdoba, only one hour from our beloved Málaga. I am thrilled to say that as of July 2025, we are based in Spain again.
I’ve traveled to 54 countries/territories and have planned each trip myself. Logistics and planning are my strengths. I would love to help you plan customized itineraries for the best trip to Spain or even a potential move to Spain. I look forward to helping you!
